Shape Mill (SM)

Principle

Flake-shaped graphite powder is directly struck in the processing zone by a high-speed rotating disc blade or struck in the uneven area of the grinding liner installed on the outer edge of the processing machine, causing the rough edges to be cut or compacted, increasing the density and making the shape more spherical. The fine particles generated during processing are discharged to the outside through a classifier installed at the top, and the particle size of the discharged fine particles is controlled by adjusting the rotation speed of the classifier rotor so that the product can be obtained by adjusting the rotation speed of the processing disc to achieve the desired particle size and density of the spherical product.

Equipment Setup

This equipment consists of a processor integrated with a classifier, a collector that collects fine articles, and a collector that collects finished products.

Uses

Air Classifier Mill (ACM)

Principle

As a process equipment that performs grinding and classification simultaneously, ACM operates on the following principle.

  • Particle Grinding: When raw materials are fed into the mill, they are finely ground by the impact and transmission force of the high-speed rotating blades (or pins) and liner.
  • Air Classification: Fine particles pass through a built-in classifier to select only particles of the desired size.
  • Recirculation Grinding: Particles larger than the target size are returned to the grinding area for additional grinding.

Principle

Air Jet Mill is a type of grinder that uses compressed air or gas to collide and crush particles for ultra-fine grinding.

  • High-speed compressed air is sprayed through a nozzle inside the grinding chamber, causing collisions and shear forces between particles, which finely grind them.
  • When a classifier is included, only powder of the desired particle size is selectively discharged, and large particles are recirculated to the grinding chamber.
  • It can handle temperature-sensitive materials as it generates little friction or heat.

  • Ultra-fine particle sizes possible (1-10µm or less)
  • Minimized contamination (no grinding media to prevent metallic foreign matter inclusion)

Cake Hot Air Dryer (KDS)

Principle

The liquid sludge fed into the dryer is instantly dispersed and crushed by the blades of a high-speed rotating disc, and at this point, it is dried by the surrounding hot air and rises, where it is collected by an external dust collector and discharged.

Principle
